HYDRATION ... IT IS SO IMPORTANT!

As a Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and personally as well, the benefits and importance of maintaining proper hydration cannot be understated.

 

Proper daily hydration results in the following:

 

-        Lubricates joints and membranes;

-        Regulates body temperature;

-        Distributes nutrients that are water soluble, which are vitamins that dissolve in water and are not stored in the body, e.g., vitamin C and all B-complex vitamins;

-        Removes toxins and waste matter; and

-        Maintains blood volume.

 

Consider drinking the below amounts of water, herbal tea, and freshly made vegetable, herb (celery juice), and/or fruit juices on a daily basis.

 

92 ounces (11.5 cups) daily – women

124 ounces (15.5 cups) daily – men

 

Factors that may influence a daily increase in the above amounts are the levels of physical activity (walking, golfing, walking the dog, gardening, running, jogging, etc.), and strength training.

 

I, personally, notice a positive influence of proper hydration on my energy level, emotional well-being, and sleep quality, to name a few.

 

Stay hydrated! Your body will reward you for it!
