Hello, Friends! I hope this writing finds you well!

When I begin working with new clients as well as clients that I work with on an ongoing basis on their journeys to achieve ultimate fitness and wellbeing, I conduct a multifaceted assessment consisting of their physical condition, daily nutritional intake, medical history, and exercise history to name a few.

An assessment of the musculoskeletal system is one of those assessments. This assessment provides me a plethora of information that guides me in understanding their physical condition and develop a unique, individualized workout program that ultimately leads to gains in muscle strength, balance, stamina, flexibility, avoiding injury, and vastly improved health span as well as life longevity. It is beautiful to be a part of and to watch the individual grow and enjoy life! There is nothing like waking up in the morning after adequate rest and sleep, feeling rejuvenated, happy, energetic, and overflowing with vitality.

As I have stated numerous times, the human body is so magnificent! It never ceases to amaze me. The influence we as individuals have on it by choices we make that serve it well, is miraculous or devastating, and to every degree in between the two.

The musculoskeletal system of the body is defined by the interworking of all of the muscles and bones, which create movement. Throughout my career as a personal trainer, I have addressed muscle imbalances, which are a result of musculoskeletal misalignment, and shared information about those imbalances and the impact they have on the body during my time with my clients. Addressing muscle imbalances is directly related to the potential risk of injury, whether it is one's gait, spine, neck, back, knees, hips, or shoulders to name a few. The more deconditioned a person is the greater the risk of injury. Musculoskeletal misalignments are prevalent and are among the most disabling and costly conditions in the United States.
